no making up words.......
Thx Chris!
Haven't listened to it yet; DLg it now.
I agree w Shed on Master Plan [w DW & Gaddalicious.] You can tell who's who, Dave is the more technically involved for the most part, but Gadd is his usual tastyliciousness. It is my understanding that DW "got a lot" from SG. At least it sounds so, to my ears anyway. :c)
Pairing anyone w Vinnie is rather unfair. [Not to Vinnie, tho.] That would be a travesty, a sham, & a mockery...a "travishamockery"...[OK, maybe except Weckl, Dennis, Novak, Husband, Todesco, Heredia, Covington, Hakim, Kennedy, or Virgil...]
I'd like to hear Gadd, Erskine, & Garibaldi do triple-drums. I was actually fortunate enough to see a clinic w Erskine & Gadd [& Dom & Rick Allen] back in the day.

[That last word is actually from a recent TV commercial - a lite beer one?!, i think]
"Here's to [that] 'Love, peace and chicken grease'"...
Chambers is havin' one right now...

Hey guys,
From what I understand, Modern Drummer is going to interview Vinnie and Bissonette about the double drumming duties they performed on "Tune For Tony". They are also going to provide some transcribed portions of the tune so you can see exactly what each guy played. All the transcriptions are were done by Marc Atkinson. He actually transcribed the whole thing but I think MD is only going to us a portion of it. I don't know when it is slated to come out but I'm sure Marc can keep us posted.
Love, peace and chicken grease,
CB
Does anyone hear what sounds like a very slight editing glitch in the time at 2:03-04 [at the end of the sn roll/lick, going into the next bar]...unless this is a weird odd-bar phrasing [of like a 16th or so!], it sounds like the 4/4 is 'elongated'...
Hey, Dazzeroo, lighten up, bud-roe! It's okay, it's just a "jammer" tune
I think VCs doing the 1st blushda [at :53];... & GB [or both] is/are doing the 2nd [at 4:04] ...[edit]: there also seems to be a slight variation of one at 1:32]...

Hey Marc Zapkinson,
Maybe you could shed some light on Fuse's last post about editing gliches.

Personally, I really enjoy 4 against 6.
